For many of us, making time for health checkups can be challenging amid our busy daily lives. With competing demands and responsibilities, it’s easy to put them off—until something forces us to finally pay attention.
For our patient Tjader, however, prioritizing his health has always been a conscious and ongoing choice.
Having previously battled serious health conditions, including a stroke, and experiencing the loss of his mother to cancer just last year, Tjader understands the importance of early detection and regular monitoring.
“And hindi pwedeng hindi ka magpa-check kasi pag may sakit ka tapos hindi mo nalaman, baka mahirap na, hindi na ma-address. So, you want to catch your problems very early, may magagawa pa tayo. If it’s too late, wala na. So, yearly check-ups are a must.”
Now in his fourth year of consistent checkups, Tjader, who hails from Davao City, decided to visit Shinagawa Diagnostic for the first time. He shared that he and his family had long considered exploring healthcare options beyond their hometown, and it was during this search that they discovered the clinic.
“We were toying with the idea of a health vacation or health tourism so, we were looking at Singapore and other places. It’s expensive because you have to pay for the airfare and everything, and then she mentioned Shinagawa here in BGC. We’ve never tried anything outside of our local [area]. So, yeah, we thought, let’s give this a try this year.”
Despite having a packed schedule and even while planning a holiday vacation, Tjader and his family made the decision to proceed with their checkup. By the end of their visit, it was clear that the decision paid off as they shared that the experience was smooth, reassuring, and pleasant
“If you add up all the procedures inside the VIP versus paying for it individually, it’s worth it. I have confidence in the equipment that I saw. The whole process here, once you enter, is smooth sailing. The procedures and the facilities are excellent.”
