Mayora Frances finds a new kind of home at Shinagawa Diagnostic

In Filipino pop culture, Home Buddies began as a simple online community where people exchanged home hacks, design ideas, and practical tips for everyday living. At its heart is Frances Lim Cabatuando, more widely known as “Mayora,” who reinforces this mindset by reminding everyone that a home should be more than beautifully designed, it should be lived in and cared for with intention.

However,  Mayora Frances also believes that the idea of a perfect “home” extends beyond four walls—it includes our bodies as well. Just as a house needs regular upkeep to stay strong and safe, our health deserves the same level of attention and care.

With this perspective in mind, she visited Shinagawa Diagnostic for her first executive checkup.

“I can compare preventive checkups to home repairs or home maintenance because ultimately, before a problem gets worse, dapat simulan na natin na wala pang issue, inaayos na, nililinis na, and inaalam na natin where is this headed.”

“I’ve been to other clinics before, and usually you see crowded, tight spaces and very cold. But here it feels like going to the spa or the hotel. Para nga siyang bahay or like a mansion. I love the interiors, the furniture are so pretty, and the colors exude calmness. You won’t get scared to go into your checkup because it just feels like you’re welcomed, you’re comfortable.”
