Shinagawa Diagnostic remains firm in its mission to raise the standard of healthcare in the Philippines by continuing its collaboration with Japanese medical experts.

Following on the success of last year’s transnasal endoscopy mentorship, the clinic once again welcomed esteemed Japanese gastroenterologist Dr. Tadateru Maehata to further develop the skills of our medical team — this time with a focus on gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

With gastrointestinal diseases and colorectal cancer prevalent among Filipinos, this hands-on demonstration strengthens the clinic’s competence while supporting a stronger culture of early detection and prevention.

Held on May 21 and 22, a series of endoscopic procedures were performed under the supervision of Dr. Maehata, who provided essential feedback, closely observed techniques, and shared expert insights to improve the team’s ability and overall proficiency.

On the second day, the program included a comprehensive lecture by Dr. Maehata, who discussed key topics including stomach and colorectal cancer statistics in both the Philippines and Japan, the importance of understanding risk factors, and the role of endoscopic procedures in early diagnosis.

Through initiatives like these, Shinagawa Diagnostic demonstrates its consistent effort in delivering world-class healthcare services to Filipinos, embodying its core to ensuring that every aspect truly meets Japanese standards.
