Alona has always believed that working hard shouldn’t come at the expense of one’s well-being. That’s why she makes it a point to undergo health checkups every year.
“I’ve been doing regular checkups naman na. Ever since. I think it’s a must to have a regular checkup. Importante kasi na parang you have yourself checkup once in a while, or at least once a year kung kaya mo. Hindi lang tayo focus sa work, but we have to give priority as well sa ating health. Kasi useless kung trabaho ka nang trabaho, yung health mo naman yun yung nac-compromise.”
Despite her consistent routine, Alona admits that she initially felt hesitant and intimidated when she came across Shinagawa Diagnostic on social media. The clinic’s reputation for exceptional facilities and client-centered care made her pause. Over the years, she had already experienced many clinics and hospitals, so she wasn’t new to health checkups—but this one felt different.

“Medyo veteran na ako sa MRI. Kasi ever since my surgery, paulit-ulit na ako na MRI. Parang last year, twice ako na MRI. The previous year, twice din. So, parang every year, naging routine ko na siya nagpapa-MRI for my neck. To have it checked regularly talaga.”
It was also her first time undergoing a transnasal endoscopy. Though nervous at first, she gathered the courage to go through with it. Despite a little discomfort, everything went smoothly.
