As part of its ongoing commitment to providing Filipinos with healthcare services that align with Japanese medical standards, Shinagawa Diagnostic & Preventive Care conducted an exclusive training on Transnasal Endoscopy (TNE) on September 26-27, 2024.
Led by Dr. Tadateru Maehata, a respected Japanese gastroenterology specialist with a focus on endoscopic treatment, the two-day seminar aimed to enhance the knowledge of the clinic’s nurses and doctors in performing TNE procedures.
Divided into three key parts, the event began with an informative lecture covering the basics of endoscopy, its advantages, as well as a comparison between Transnasal Endoscopy and Gastroscopy.
This was followed by a hands-on TNE procedure, where Dr. Maehata observed local doctors and nurses in action, offering valuable insights, particularly on providing a seamless and comfortable experience for the patients.
Concluding with a Q&A session, the participants discussed how endoscopy cases are managed in Japan, areas for improvement, and key takeaways. On the second day, certificates were awarded, marking the success of the training.
